Written storyboard....maybe?

I went to that blog thing today with Pete Maloney, and although he didn't tell us anything new.. but I kind if got some ideas for how we can set out this film!

Apparently it needs to be between 10 and 15 minutes so I'm thinking that we'll need to have some real face time on this film and interview eachother- or at least make some statements to the camera. Perhaps we can set up somewhere to sit a little bit like Big Brother and just do it like a diary type thing?

We can use those sound clips over some images of us playing.. anyway! Here's how I set it up, obviously its not set in stone so we can change a few things!

Start with maybe create a bit of an atmosphere but walking in through the front door, or the door into the room everyone will be sitting playing the game- with the song 'In my secret life' (just those words) playing while the camera is moving.

Then go around the room filming us together playing, maybe eating food and laughing together. Then we can edit in the clip from South Park as a comparison!

We should have close ups of our hands typing, and moving around on the keyboard, panning over the whole room and I was thinking about just zooming in on our eyes when we're staring at the screen, and showing side on profiles of whilst playing the game. (If its too confusing, I'll try and use the camera to show you what I mean!)

I think that we should also have our 'interviews' mixed in with our gameplay videos (with the picture in picture) and talk about the addiction of the game. Maybe we don't need to use everyone, but I think that we should try using the most relevant parts.

Also use some pre-recorded sound bites, like the one I recorded yesterday over clips of the gameplay. Like when we were talking about flying, we can record someone flying around in the game and just falling into the sea maybe?

And towards the end, I'd really like to use the sound recording from that woman that Camille posted yesterday, where she talks about the total addiction and use the South Park clip where one of the boys gets progressively spottier and fatter when he's playing. To end it I really like the idea of using the part of her video where she says something along the lines of: if you want to get addicted to something over the summer when you don't have school then you should play this.. and just fade to black. The End.

What does everyone think?
